Pony on a Golden
Path-
Journey Inward and Upward

In the painting on this pony, "the heart is an unfolding rose surrounded by a
barbed wire wreath symbolizing the beauty, sweetness, and fragility of life. The
red, white, and blue pinwheel over a western landscape references the resiliency
of the American spirit turning – not breaking – in the changing winds of these
troubling times." OW Wheatley explains that "the body of our pony is a
tesselation of an interlocking anthropomorphic, brightly colored, repetitive
pattern representing the human spirit and the variety of human cultures that
make up the American body, all beginning in nature and moving to the higher
(golden) harmony and enlightenment.... The terms lettered onto the paint cans
are the positive human characteristics necessary to maintain the Golden Path.
