Pegasus

I have always loved Pegasus, the winged horse of Greek mythology. Galloping
and flying, Pegasus is the ultimate horse! My research found that Pegasus
represents ‘creative imagination and its real powers of elevation’ that raise
humans above the ‘perils of aberration.’ I chose to coverPegasus with copper
because I think of copper as an Arizona metal and very appropriate to the piece.
Copper is a beautiful warm-toned metal that is elegant and inviting. Pegasus has
steel and fiberglass wings and 600 hand-made copper feathers (60 lbs. of
copper), made and attached
one at a time.
