SUNDANCER

Sundancer was created using the form of the pony as a canvas, in the narrative style of my paintings. Through symbols of the local Native American culture, it tells the story of the heavens, earth and sea coming together as one universal force representing freedom and spirituality. Like its beneficiary, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Tucson, the symbols of birds, hearts and rainbows bring promises of joy and hope for the future. And the radiant sun depicts the graphic beauty that is the heart ‘del Pueblo.’
